The beaches and other natural resources on our doorstep were fantastic. If you had a higher income, I think it could be a fab place to live.
I had a blast over there as well but ofr one of the most famous cities in the world it didnt live up to my expectations. Some local had the gual even to ask what part of the US is Ireland in, shher cheek and that was the ones that had heard of Ireland. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed my tome over there but wouldnt want to live there. Now Vegas was a cool place, although I must admit I didnt veture too far off the strip barring going to Hover Dam. If you like warm weather this is the place

Does anything like that exist or is it so sunny only on Tv?
Probably not,Tv makes everything look good. But with all teh problems in Fairviews Westeria lane (named after Westie of course) would you really want to live there. Planes falling out of the sky after been flown by Homer Simpson etc

There is no Fairview Anna! All the license plates on the cars there read 'Eagle State', and they've stayed intentionally vague about where it's supposed to be. I'd say you've got high and more than somewhat unrealistic ideas about what you'd like the place to be; even places that are typically pretty nice most of the time have their drawbacks and problems. Florida, while typically really nice most of the time, still managed to get freezing weather this winter, even though it is extremely rare for them to get it. Also Florida has plenty of insects, not to mention Alligators and Burmese pythons that people have released into the wild that show up in people swimming pools and backyards. No where is perfect, but I wish you luck finding somewhere you feel comfortable!

I don't blame Anna23 for wanting to move to a better climate, it's nearly summer and still FREEZING almost as much as during the middle of winter. What good months are we going to get realistically this year? May, June, July, August maybe? Then back into the misery again.

Humans aren't designed to live in a cold environment, we're designed to live in sunny-all-year Africa. The high humidity in Irish air makes it FEEL extremely cold, even if it doesn't hit the coldest temperatures like in eastern europe at least in eastern europe the air is dry so you don't feel it half as much. So much for the "North Atlantic Drift" keeping us warm, what a load of bollox, it's probably the North Atlantic Drift that causes the humidity to be so high (I'm not a meteorologist, I don't know if it causes it or to what extent).
