Anna what are you doing to us ???
I have lived all over America & could be a font of knowledge & advice to you but why should I when you're planning an exit ??

The U S has some wonderful places & every extreme in weather but do you really want to live amongst them ??
If I had it all to do again I'd have gone to NZ or OZ instead. Americans are so badly educated generally, insular, noisy, gullible, patriotic (in a manufactured, psychotic kinda way), optimistic (in a naive kinda way you only get in young countries like US & OZ) & despite all the bleeting about "freedom" you enjoy so much more liberty in Europe than America (so many petty rules - I was sent to a shrink for 1-to-1 counselling because I accumulated 3 speeding tickets in 15 mths).
It's a truly spectacular country geographically & I love holidaying there but I wouldn't go back to live.
- Seattle - Best city by a mile if you want a relaxed European type vibe. Weather too like here though.
- San Francisco - Best middle ground. Nice weather a lot of the time & very liberal.
- Los Angeles - Apart from the wonderful weather it has no redeeming qualities.
- San Diego - Hard to take this place seriously. Great weather, lots of beach bums. No one ever seems to be working.
I don't really know Florida but if weather is your prime concern then it has to be there or Southern California I think. There is good weather in so many southern states but it can be deadly hot & humid in the summer.

What about Wexford ? The sunny south east & all that .................
