You can always unilaterally give up the badge. I don't see why refs from escorts is laughable. They are the ones who actually saw them. Do they not get a say or input as to who is seen as trustworthy? Its far better to have both sides having an input, they are the ones being judged everyday so only fair anyone wanting a badge also has to undergo a little scrutiny.

Posting this as a poster btw and not a mod. I have no wish or interest to be involved with who gets what. I ruled myself out many weeks ago. Only asking why Escorts input is seen as laughable.

There are not a lot of escorts that do not post on the board due to various reasons, so I don't expect that there will be too many responding to pm's from guys looking for a reference. I don't think I would have much problem getting references from the required 3 ladies as I do most of my appointments via pm but a lot wouldn't have that facility.

Apparently some crazy loon called NBT used to give them to his friends! Even the people he gave them to do not know why the got them!!!
Now those ones are going to get mixed up with the new ones and we will have an even bigger mess.

No I would not say delete them.

The badges should be removed I would say. After all trust must have been lost in the user for them to be banned.

And when scanning a list of reviews there should be some indication that it is a banned user. Something similar to the rat symbol but not as offensive to the eye.

Doozer my views apply to all banned users. You suddenly seem to have focused in on one.

Reading between the lines it would appear that the person who awarded the badges has now been banned as well as other badge holders.

Surely if trust has been lost in the the person that awarded the badges the badges can no longer be trusted and should be withdrawn.

If you don't trust a review is it not normal practice to rat it rather than delete it?

But at the moment these reviews are not only there (without a rat) but have the distinction of a trusted badge.

I hate to point this out but, apart from being just com mods, some of the people dealing with this are also trusted reviewers.........

And is a recomendation from 3 escorts not input from escorts???

All escorts and all existing trusted reviewers, including mods should be able to propose and vote in, or out, new trusted reviewers. The idea of having to get references from escorts is ludicrous.

Good to see this topic debated out in an open, frank and appropriate manner.

I posted way back on page 3 but I wasn't having a go at the people who came up with the new criteria. Obviously they recognized that their was flaws in the current system and at least they tried to address them.

I tried to come up with an idea myself rather than pointing the finger at the new rules... as my boss say "Give me solutions, not problems"

I was thinking of something along the idea of using mobile phone numbers.

A punter could contact EI mods/Patricia or whoever by PM or text message to say "I just visited girl x at this time and date and I've left a review. The last 4 digits of my mobile are XXXX."
EI would then contact the girl and say did you get calls from a phone number ending in XXXX at the time and date provided by the punter and did he turn up and complete the booking?
Once confirmed, that person (or at least that review) would be marked as trusted/legit.

Anyway i thought some more and it wouldn't work. Apart from the over heads of EI having to contact the escorts, there's the fact that alot of punters don't complete their reviews until days/weeks after the actual visit and even if they did the review with 24 hrs, what escort is going to still have that phone number on their recent call history list given that they probably get 50-100 calls a day.

anyway.. just thought this idea might inspire others to come up with solutions (and not just problems)
