Trusted Reviewer Criteria Reaction

Good to see this topic debated out in an open, frank and appropriate manner.

I posted way back on page 3 but I wasn't having a go at the people who came up with the new criteria. Obviously they recognized that their was flaws in the current system and at least they tried to address them.

I tried to come up with an idea myself rather than pointing the finger at the new rules... as my boss say "Give me solutions, not problems"

I was thinking of something along the idea of using mobile phone numbers.

A punter could contact EI mods/Patricia or whoever by PM or text message to say "I just visited girl x at this time and date and I've left a review. The last 4 digits of my mobile are XXXX."
EI would then contact the girl and say did you get calls from a phone number ending in XXXX at the time and date provided by the punter and did he turn up and complete the booking?
Once confirmed, that person (or at least that review) would be marked as trusted/legit.

Anyway i thought some more and it wouldn't work. Apart from the over heads of EI having to contact the escorts, there's the fact that alot of punters don't complete their reviews until days/weeks after the actual visit and even if they did the review with 24 hrs, what escort is going to still have that phone number on their recent call history list given that they probably get 50-100 calls a day.

anyway.. just thought this idea might inspire others to come up with solutions (and not just problems)

i think a combination of review quality, review quantitiy, forum contribution and commen sense is the only way forward...

The whole focus of the trusted reviewer thread that I started about Milfhunter was to widely expand the t.r. ranks as a way of combatting the growing number of multi-review fake reviewers/pimps. Now the whole show is being handed over to the pimps. Brilliant

Possibly if every review was awarded it's own merit symbol. A bit like the ratings on a you tube video. These merits (for want of a better term) would/could be awarded by say established members. So if I see an escort that has a review that I agree with I could give credence to that review. This could then be reflected in the user who posted the review. I'm really just think out loud here so I'm sure the following posts will show all the pitfalls to this method.

To be honest I don't know why I got it. At the time that NBT took on the role of review moderator he had the task of reading all reviews submitted over a period and making judgment calls on the veracity of the reviewer.
I would hope that being awarded a 'trusted reviewer' badge was based on my regular input on the board over a period (without being considered a nutcase/spammer/troll) and that my reviews came across as being genuine.

You've got it because I suggested it for the same reasons you've stated above and NBT agreed. So it was with Pinpoints badge.
I recomended more people who seem genuine to me( like MrJolly etc... ) but nobody ever got to give them a badge.

So some of the badges were handed out because of the reference from a lady, not so different to what is being suggested now.
BTW, I always appreciatted your posts Anna and I'm delighted you have started to post again.

There are not a lot of escorts that do not post on the board due to various reasons, so I don't expect that there will be too many responding to pm's from guys looking for a reference. I don't think I would have much problem getting references from the required 3 ladies as I do most of my appointments via pm but a lot wouldn't have that facility.
