Escorts in Drumcondra in trouble?

I was just talking to a friend there who lives in apartments near the Regency Hotel in Drumcondra.

Over the past few weeks him and the people he lives with have become aware of escorts operating in the apartment block and I'm sure a few of them have visited!

I am just off the phone to him now and he tells me that on Sunday he saw a lot of cops around the place and it seemed to be to do with their apartment. Also the caretaker/security guard told him that there were undercover cops in the carpark all week looking for punters.

Supposedly 4 escorts and 2 punters were caught?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Punters cannot be 'caught' for visiting an escort. If there are more than 2 girls the Guards will regard it as a brothel and if anyone is arrested they may be charged with keepking a brothel and prostitution. I have checked some of the courts order of business but so far have found no related charges...but will continue to look...

Moderator's comment: That's actually 2 or more escorts Mr Fussy. I think punters can only be done for soliciting somebody in a public place or performing lewd acts in a public place.
