Kevin Magnussen was knocked out in Q1 when he was held up by Oscar Piastri on his final flying lap. Oscar Piastri must surely get a three-place penalty? Pity if it happens.
Max Verstappen matches Ayrton Senna's record of eight consecutive poles. He does it at the race where he died and on his thirtieth anniversary.

Can be nervy race with the gravel traps so close.
Max Verstappen holds off Lando Norris and is starting to open a gap but the Red Bull has not been as dominant lately.

Problem for Alex Albon. Pits but front right not on securely. Does good job in bring the car back but needs another stop. Out in last.

-
Max Verstappen now five seconds ahead. Ferrari are fast so perhaps Max can benefit from a Ferrari/Mclaren battle

Lando Norris pits.
Alex Albon gets 10-second stop-go penalty for that unsafe release with the insecure wheel.

-
Max Verstappen pits.
He also gets final warning for track limits. Another outside limits and five-second penalty.

1. Max Verstappen
2. Lando Norris
3. Charles Leclerc
Half-way point. Max's race to lose and indeed likely this is the podium.
