So confidence from a girl is key for me, genuine smiles and confidence, if I'm feeling uneasy about the situation and that the girl is thinking "How am I going to put up with this halfwit for the duration!!" a friendly confidence beaming from the lady soon clears away any doubts and starts the appointment on a high note.
Kiss, hug, handshake... just whatever sort of pre-emptive physical contact you feel comfortable with. Always a great icebreaker to throw out some compliments if you can make them sound half realistic, Sure tell him his shoes are neatly tied or you love his ears, if that's all you can think of
