Hotels are a gift, get the info from your car or round the corner and head in.
A lot of ladies can be quite helpful in that they tell you the direction to head for the lifts and some just tell you the room number so it's good if you can quickly scan the area if it's first time in the hotel. If you are visiting an escort in a hotel you ring her from the car park, get the room number and follow her directions to her room (for example if it is 324, usually the first digit indicates the floor level, in this case third floor) , walk into the bar of the hotel , have a drink, or else just walk past the reception and go about your business. Walk straight up to the lift or else use the stairs. If you think that you may encounter someone you know in the bar of the hotel or the lobby, use the underground car park and go inside the hotel from there.
But for the love of Christ don't go to the reception asking " I am here to meet the escort, that is staying here, can you let her know please?...

I’m not sure what sort of hotels people are going to but I’m hard pushed to think of a hotel I’ve been in recently that didn’t have a carded lift. I’ve no shame so I don’t mind loitering until someone arrives to step in with them but cards are everywhere now. It all comes down to being relaxed. There is almost no one going to think you are going about doing anything but your lawful business unless you’re making it extremely obvious you are not.

Quite a few don't. Even some new(ish) and even some fancy hotels don't have them. I think it is often one of the criteria the ladies use to choose a hotel.

The lifts being close to the reception in there never bothered me as they always seem to be busy during the day. But I do get how a nervous client would get panicked.
Good call on the stairs location, I'm surprised I never noticed as I nip in there sometimes if I need the toilets.
