I do, however, find it dismissive of the work put in by and service provided by other advertisers with a seemingly higher qualifying review count that a clear explanation of the EotM results has not been put forward by the site.
As per the understanding most have of the EotM scoring (and as evidenced by Barry's illustrations). It appears that both Dieve and Dora had a higher qualifying review count than Juliette. By my counting Luana28 also accrued more qualifying reviews than our eventual winner. I find the fact that no explanation has been put forward to be very disrespectful towards the aforementioned providers.
The end of month ranking as I see it is
1 Dieve
2 Dora
3 Luana28
4 TS Juliette
To my knowledge there would be no reason to exclude any visible, untainted reviews. If there were any improprieties, those reviews would be marked with a rat while the veracity of the review was under review (omitted from the count while under scrutiny) and then either deemed to be accurate (rat removed, review counted) or found to not be credible (review removed, review not counted {obviously}).
The lack of transparency and forthrightness from the community moderators on this topic is disheartening, to say the least, and does nothing but foster a sense of unease and mistrust towards the integrity of the EotM contest.
Without a clear and concise explanation of the methodology used to tabulate the EotM scoring, the mods leave the competing advertisers with no direction of how to compete properly and run the risk of disenfranchising those who once believed they were engaging in a fair competition.
At this rate we will be nearly a quarter into the new competition window (including the weekend) with no understanding of how the rules are to be applied and recent evidence that the seems to point towards rules being interpreted however the mods see fit at the time of EotM announcement.
I am usually not hyper critical of the moderation team and I do understand that it is a hard and thankless job, but this seems like a dereliction of duty. The advertisers (who pay into the site and keep this place profitable) deserve better.
