I think he just means it's sligltly bemusing for their numbers to rise to this point.

I think nearly everyone is happy and welcoming to our South American friends, they fit into Irish culture extremely well from my experience.

There is a large Brazilian community in Ireland so it would make sense to see a higher number of Brazilian ladies advertising.
I might be wrong but probably not all of them are actually Brazilian
Also they are gorgeous and appear to be providing excellent service
So I don’t get what exactly is hilarious which is a bit different from slightly bemusing
