I think you are seeing everything from the client's perspective here. I try to see things from both. I don't think it is fair to force any escort to take reviews. It's not just dodgy escorts who don't accept reviews. I know many escorts don't accept reviews because they've had problems with dodgy clients leaving them bad reviews to mess their business up or they are just trying to maintain more privacy than reviews allow for. Of course we are trying to stop the dodgy clients that ruin the reviews system by leaving fake reviews, but it is hard, in most cases we have no evidence either way as to who may be telling truth.

Essentially I think this business has to show the respect to escorts of giving them the power as to whether or not they want to be reviewed. Escorts that don't accept reviews already probably get less business because of that. I wouldn't be happy going the whole hog and making it impossible for them to advertise.

Whatever else you are, Patricia, you are not stupid, so cut the c**p about the problem being 'dodgy clints' leaving fake reviews. Even the dogs in the streets know that it is the escorts and their pimps that are to blame for more than 95% of fake reviews. If there is the odd malicious review, I think that it always stands out as such.
All I am asking for is a single drop-down, very satisfied-very dissatisfied, button to the question 'Are the photos/profile genuine'. There would be no scope for text or elaboration. I cannot see that any escorts could object to this, unless they are fake, and I assume that you are not deliberately promoting fake profiles.

Do you mean just this singular function should be added to the profile page of a girl who doesn't allow reviews???

And if that's the case, what's to stop this function being abused??? With no review attached to it and no accountability people could be clicking it willy nilly................

Isn't the easiest thing to do, if you feel so strongly about this,
would just be to not visit escorts who don't allow reviews, and just visit ones who do allow reviews?? has that maybe crossed your mind?

It's their own business and choice if they want them or not. It's DEFINITELY a privacy matter and I would love to see some of you clients as escorts just to feel the vulnerability they feel sometimes.
If they feel like not having reviews makes them feel safer, then so be it, they're not asking for your judgement or probably giving a fuck what you think. I certainly wouldn't, anyway.

Stop behaving as though you have a right to these things, you don't.

adogwithabone, I am not rejecting your suggestion made here, in fact I think it is quite a good one.

This happens. You guys need to start appreciating the situation escorts are in. When a client finds a false review, he can sing and dance about it. Escorts have other concerns, it is not as easy for them to talk about it, but that doesn't mean it is not happening. We deal with many cases where we find a client has maliciously written a false review of an escort, but we can't normally talk about in in public as the escorts don't want that attention, to piss anyone off, they just want to get on with their work quietly, so it is not talked about in public.

Of course it has, and I agree with it, but in certain area of the country, the choices may not be great, there may only be a handfull of escorts working in the area and maybe only one or 2 allow reviews or have verified photos........

Nobody is denying a girls right to privacy, or their right to safety. We're trying to find ways to improve things for everybody..........

If everybody was to stop visiting escorts who don't have verified pics or allow reviews how is this helping then, by forcing them to use verified pics or allow reviews when they really don't want to as it effects their privacy or safety??? That's not really helping them. It's certainly helping the ones who do use genuine verifies pics and allow reviews, but not the others........

Now I've no doubt in my mind that some girls don't use genuine pics for personal reasons, I've often defended then here on the forum, it's their choice, and if they are busy enough, and seeing enough clients, and making enough, all the while providing a good service and pleasing their clients, then fair play to them..........

But as much as that is true, I'm sure there are many other girls who don't use genuine pics and don't allow reviews for other reasons, or have opted out to hide bad reviews............

But belshaft7, at Argos and Currys they guarantee that that's what you're going to get. It's more like if Argos or Currys advertised on RTE or in a newspaper and then gave you the wrong product. Would you go after Argos/Currys or would you go after RTE/newspaper? Actually that analogy helps me see your point a little better, RTE would try not to advertise really disreputable people.

I still think it's a bit different though considering the fake reviews etc. Noone is forcing you to go to them, you know the score with them that they might be a bit dodgy. So what if they're allowed to advertise? How does that affect you in any way? What other punters and escorts do is really none of your business.

What if Patricia put up a big warning that pics are not verified and may not be the escorts there? That way, nobody is under any illusions and no newcomers are given a bad deal.

I have escort friends who have had negative reviews. I do not recall any of them blaming a 'dodgy client'. most blame a jealous escort. Some, while arguing publicly that the review was false have told me that it was a date that went badly wrong, due as much to themselves as the client. I accept that there is the occasional genuinely malicious review by a client but it is probably no more than 1% of all fake reviews. There is one escort who, alone, probably has 50 fake reviews and her extended group of friends could account for hundreds more. The difficulty is that you do not seem to realise where the real problem with the review system lies.

I mean that it would be the familiar review system with the dates and prices but, beyond that the only option available would be a single drop down menu relating to the authenticity of the photos and profile.

It doesn't matter whether it's a dodgy client or a jealous escort or a pimp, that's irrelevant. It's not like Patricia is punishing clients somehow by doing this, it's just because of the fact that some girls get a lot of fake/bad reviews and aren't comfortable advertising with them.

It's not 'us vs them', maybe Patricia should have added "or other jealous escorts" but it's not relevant to this issue whether it's clients or other escorts that write bad reviews. .
