I think you're on the wrong website Dave.

With such overwhelming evidence, the cops may then offer a settlement in the station between you and your solicitor to keep it out of courts to save wasting the time, especially if this is your first offence. But maybe not, we often see people in court and in the papers for minor speeding offences. So, why wouldn't a cop keen to make an example of someone go all the way.

There have been multiple charges of the purchase of sex in NI - all out all disposed of out of court with cautions and community notice orders - both very serious offences in their own way.

Possibly the best way to avoid a lot of this is using a burner phone plus obviously not getting stopped at a location, or alternatively, don't do it at all in NI or Eire.
    More spoofing.

If you've left a premises there's nobody has a right to check your phone.

However, as I said and contrary to your original claim, being on a premises on its own will not get you charged, never mind convicted. It's only enough for Gardaí to look for further evidence that altogether will meet the beyond reasonable doubt threshold. As I said, they will try to do that and the primary avenue will be to get you to admit something, or get caught in a lie.

There are two sets of bullshitters on this site. One, like you claiming that you're fucked if found on a premises. The other who think that unless the Gardaí find you with your dick in a hole and a wad of 50's in your hand, that you're fine. Both sets are gobshites and only likely to give shitty advice that leads someone to make a mistake in that situation. The way the law works in this country is clear, you need evidence of a crime to convict someone. The crime in this case would be offering to pay or actually paying for sexual services. It's not a crime to phone an escort. It's not a crime to visit EI. It's not a crime to make an arrangement to visit an escort or to be on a premises operated by one. All of these things may get you questioned, or allow the gardaí to seek a search warrant for financial and communication records, but not charged and certainly not convicted.

My advice to anyone who cares, and I've said this before: don't text, whatsapp isn't perfect, but it's better. If a girl texts you price lists for sexual services, find another provider. Delete everything on your phone before you shower. Restore to factory is a great option. And make sure it's a burner phone that you'd be happy to leave in Garda possession. Don't answer any questions except your name and address and ask for a solicitor before answering any questions under caution.

"If a girl texts you price lists for sexual services, find another provider." - why?

What specifically is the issue with receiving a list via text or WhatsApp? I think I know the answer, but I'd like to hear it from you.

"It's not a crime to make an arrangement to visit an escort or to be on a premises operated by one." Yes it is. That is offering to pay for sex and text messages would confirm it.

A lot of issues can be solved by a burner phone.

You have a long history of commenting on the legalities of all of this. Were you caught before?

I was a bit of an eejit when i was visiting the escorts in Ireland and few times when knock come to the door i use to jump out the window, then both girls being dying laughing looking out at me, yes just the other girl knocking on door. I was afraid at the tie as heard of Ireland cops did to English men, even in prison theyd feed you Flahavan's porridge and Barrys Tea.

The filth can now ask you for you pin code to access your phone(only in Ireland) if they suspect you of a crime but being bit corrupt they always suspect so if the girl does text you just delete before you go in, I think some people worrying unnecessary here. you would be very unlucky to be nabbed unless its a brothel raid or summat

And if stopped by the Filth in the street and they ask your name give it to them, be polite and act normal and take out your phone and record everything, ask them for their name and badge number and record it too and if they ask just say you are doing a documentary on YouTube about how the Guards are just so wonderful, kind, and so so so helpful
I did do that in Ireland on other road issues on y bike and all the time record the UK filth all the time and its unreal how they change when they are being recorded, their attitude changes and you go on your way

I am happy that You and others (men) dare to talk about it, something helped to open Your eyes and not are in just “blind”. When we started to discuss this we were the enemy (fully 10000% INDEPENDENTS, without receptionist etc).

I wish to everyone a beautiful days x

I usually peruse the ads (profile) of the escorts to make a choice to meet. I have a number of criteria that I personally always try to stick to. Appearance, age (30 or over for me, I want to be pretty sure the lady is mature enough to make her own decisions), offer of services, reviews and most importantly if the lady in question is independent. The last criterium is important to me because I find it important to know whether the money I pay the lady actually all goes to her, every penny of it.
I do not want a serious proportion of that money going to either, madams, agents, of human traffickers.

I think on the whole 90% of the ladies I visit are independent. ( they may have a boyfriend, but that’s their business) but lately I had at least three occasions where I arranged a meeting with a person on the phone with perfect English ( albeit with an accent. And since I’m not Irish myself I recognise a significant amount of accents. German, Russian, Spanish Italian American etc.) and then when you actually meet the lady on location they can hardly string a sentence together. This makes me suspicious that there are agents or worse active arranging appointments and of course they don’t do that for nothing. Now it’s perfectly possible that the girl has someone who speaks better English and whom she trusts to arrange appointments for her and that would be fine. But I have my suspicions that this is not the case. And again I have a serious problem with contributing to criminals who are abusing vulnerable women.

How are they getting the look at your phone?

The ladies phone would be enough. Many phones get seized during raids. Also I am sure there are other ways that don't involve physically holding your phone. You may also be required to present it in evidence if required to attend a police interview at a station.
