I’m in Ireland so I love Irish people , if I want to work with my own Nationality I will be in my own country , and of course I avoid them because the world is small and happens to me to receive a call , Irish number, saying my real name and asking me if I’m free. Was a guy from the college, is not embarrassing for me because I have another view of this Industry but some people have another perception.
I ask for nationality all the time when there is not an Irish accent , because I’m curious first and some times I also ask quick like a joke ,,what city,, or ,,what’s the capital of your country,, and some people don t know , so they are lying and ask me what’s my real nationality. Well as long as I open the door and I am a woman I can ask this and I don t see it relevant for people to ask mine , only for those who really ask from first contact and probably have some fetish or they really wanna meet a certain nationality wich is fine.
I use to work with all nationalities , except my own in first 2,3 years , and all the time had arguments with some . I don t say people are all the same but all the time when I give a chance they turn out waisting my time (enter my house asking first for a cigarette, asking things wich I don t do , c*m to quick blaming me, asking uncomfortable questions ,,where u keep your money,, or ,, are you alone,,). This made me cut some visits , maybe is bad for my business but is more safe and is much better to work with good vibes and in a good mood , no hassle, no arguments and no problems.
Language barrier is also a problem , if a person doesn’t speak English how he can find places ? Ending up to other doors , taking wrong turns . Example? A guy was exactly in front of the door , I said turn around the door is on your back , literally the only door, he start walking up and down 20 mins couldn t find it . So I really don t understand people who doesn t speak English and they say ,, send adress, no English ,,
I would like people to take this question in serious , is not racism , is not rudeness, is just for safety. To be honest with all this things happening in Ireland in the last months , reading about girls how was robbed or attacked, cost nothing to be nice and to provide some info when we ask about nationality, age.
