    Ask me bollix!!

The Butcher boy was dark but great, love Mickeybo & me, My Left Foot, In The Name of The Father . . . I could never bring myself to watch The Wind That Shakes the Barley coz I know I’d end up in floods of tears!!!

Black 47 is one of my favourite movies coz I think it tells the true story of the “famine” - a period of ethnic cleansing which just coincided with a potato blight, love The Banshes . . . Also!!

Oh and the one with the three lads from Belfast head down south with their greyhound, it was hilarious, can’t for the life of me remember the name though!!

    That was A1 Shardin
    Man about dog……brilliant

Was the one set in the 90s Intermission by any chance? If not, it was still a bloody good movie. Break out the Chef Sauce LMAO!!

I think you mean Intermission - brilliant film - thankfully none of the ladies I meet here have ‘Ronnies’ - if you don’t know what a Ronnie is , check out the film.

Other Irish film gems - the commitments - also the guard

Adam and Paul, an extremely depressing watch but a good show nonetheless

The scene where their talking to the Bulgarian guy on the bench is hilarious

I live on the east coast so had all the UK channels back in the 70s … Ariel on the roof, only 50 miles from the UK coast. The PYE televisions from RTV rentals ! RTE test card coming up around midnight.. Benny in crossroads, who remembers that ?

There are better alternatives to Netflix, at least when it comes to new movies. I stopped paying for Netflix a long time ago.
