What's the story with escorts, prostitution in Las Vegas? Is it legal? Easily found? Worth the money?! Thanks

Not legal in Vegas. Only 10 of 16 counties in Nevada allow it, and they exclude Clark County (Vegas) and Washoe County (Reno). You can read plenty online about escort scams in Vegas so I wouldn't risk it. It's up to you to decide if it's worth travelling to the licensed brothels in outlying counties.

I visited one of the licensed brothels and it was a miserable experience - didn't stay. Looking for silly money and not even being pleasant about it.
I believe there is an escort scene based around web-sites and girls visiting your room, but I wouldn't chance it without a reliable recommendation. Too many stories of scams, robberies and worse.
Wait till you get back home - we are spoilt!
There are a few websites you can check state side, though the ones free to potential clients are going to be 80% scam adverts (deposit or bait and switch).
You could sign up for a paid website but you're still going to end up around 50/50 (though I'm not keen to give up personal info / CC to indulge).
There are some forums for the states too (not quite as reliable as here). Not sure what I can say here due to "competition" (it's not really). TER is good and there is a sex guide for the USA with a .nl that seems fairly active in most states (or was last fall when I was looking around a bit).
For the most part you'd be looking at $500-700 for a 1hr outcall to get the quality experience of a girl that would be €200-250 for 1hr incall in Dublin.
MLC is absolutely correct, Ireland is spoilt. Enjoy it before you travel and after you get back, much better value.
