Charlie Bird
Sad to hear of the passing of Charlie Bird, I think he was such a brave and inspirational man.
I remember him as a reporter he was amazing, but his bravery and his achievements when suffering from MND was just unbelievable, that casual remark he made on the Late Late Show about climbing Croagh Patrick next thing here’s this man who’s struggling to walk or talk and he’s organising Climb With Charlie, climbed Croagh Patrick, No easy feat for an able-bodied person never mind for poor Charlie what he was going through at the time and raise over 3 million on top of it all for MDM and mental health services.
Just amazing.
Hope he is at peace, seeing documentaries with his During his illness that MDN is a horrible soul destroying disease but he faced it so bravely
