    Default Clamping Down

I was reading an extremely interesting thread in the legal section this week. Really has me thinking.

Is the scope of the law changing in respect to clients and prosecutions. My understanding before was that any successful DPP prosecution was reliant on an admission on the part of the client. The client essentially hanging themselves out to dry.

Recently, reading that thread, and from messages I have gotten from 2 different people, it seems the approach is different now. It's no longer trying to get the punter to slip up on their words, coerce them into a confession. All 3 scenarios I've heard of recently, it has been straight taking of details and informing of potential prosecution/summons, on the basis that being in a house/apartment used by a live escort advert is sufficient to at least be grounds for a summons.

Before people say the risk of getting stopped is minimal and reduced if you choose right. I know this. I've been punting long enough to know the do's and dont's. Its just interesting to read and hear about this seemingly new approach.

Just a thought. Unlikely to hinder my punting however

You'd think they would have trouble proving anything, building a case against you.

Here's a link to the Irish Statute book that I believe is relevant here.
In my opinion, the real desire here is to stop trafficking, brothels, and on street prostitution.
From what I can see, the activities that we may or may not be engaging in thru this website are not targeted and are largely non-enforceable anyway.

Always a gamble whichever way you look at it. There is a spot here in Cork where a lot of escorts operate from and it's almost next to the Gardai station!!! (Of course they know) Used it a few times many years ago but not longer as it's too close for comfort. Agree with hotels, but not my scene - however, the other option for me is "outcalls" (not for everyone) but it would be great if more escorts set a more reasonable "extra" - some do once you're trusted - some of the best experiences for me, including videos!!!

    Have to agree with outcalls

For a girl only operating part time can make much more sense also due to the huge costs they incur renting rooms etc.

Virtually all my best experiences, and there has been a lot over the years, have been outcasts both in Ireland and abroad.
