Arrow Ever Jump out of a Plane ✈️ ?

    :

I had an uncle that was in the Airborne. He had a BAD fear of heights.

He told me he was last in the jump line and when it was his turn he froze.

The Jump Master , who was 6’3” and mean as they come , said

“I have not felt the touch of a woman on months. If you don’t jump right now ,

you’re going to fly back with me and I’m going to tear that a*se up the whole way back to the field” .

    I said , “Wow ! Did you jump ?”

He said , “A little at first” .

How many of you have parachuted ?

Fun ? Not ? Yes please , or Never Again ?

    ✈️
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

I've jumped out of a plane 3 times. First 2 were tandom jumps the 3rd was a solo jump. Its a great experience.

You had me going right to the punchline
    very funny 😆😂🤣

I would have a fear of heights or the overwhelming urge to jump when at heights

Guess I'm a bit of a lemming when it comes to heights

I always used to climb the highest tree's or the outside of abandoned buildings as a kid to break my fear

I've considered doing a parachute jump but the thought scares the life out of me
I think I would have to keep my eyes closed until I landed if I ever did it

I know a guy who jumped for charity and dispite all his fears leading up to it he loved it and took it up as a hobby

It's a day safety course to get certified to jump solo

Once, years ago, for charity, not something I’d rush to do again, wasn’t fond of my one bungee cord experience either

Funnily enough, I'd be way more comfortable going for a sky dive than a bungee jump. I don't trust those cords at all, at least a parachute has a reserve!

When I asked the Instructor what happens if the parachute doesn't open, he replied you're jumping to a conclusion

Bit like the aeroplane joke. "Do these planes crash often?" "No, most of them only crash once."

Tandems are easy, all you do is scream like a girl knowing there's someone on your back minding ya.
Solo's are the proper job, the real way to jump.

When I did it my first jump, and a similar question came up from another person doing their first jump, the conversation went like this:

"What happens if the chute doesn't open?"

"Oh, you have a back up"

    "And if that doesn't work?"

"Then you should put your arms out straight, like a crucifix, and wrap one leg around the other as far as it will go"

"No way that will help you!"

"No, it won't help you, but the cleanup guys can just screw you out of the ground like a corkscrew"
