Got people sending me PMs saying they agree with petition but can't sign as they don't want their email address put on a petition like this.

Please - You can create an email account with Gmail or similar in 5 minutes if you don't want to use your regular one - don't not sign the petition for this reason.

This petition isn't about me, it's about the current situation for independent escorts in Ireland. I am not asking anyone to sign who doesn't agree of course, but if you can see that independent escorts are being targetted by the authorities and this is creating a bad situation where escorts are being forced to work alone and put in danger, please don't be lazy or not bother... Take 5 minutes out of your life and sign the petition.

There are about 3,000 hits on that page since we put it up yesterday and yet only 30 people actually signed. If you agree with this petition, you have to sign to show your support or it means nothing.

personally i would think that theres not much seriousness taken with on line petitions by those they are aimed at. in my view what would really only count are petitions out in the general public eye and taken by the likes of me and every other independant sex worker. We'd need to be putting our points of safety across to the public awareness and gathering genuine signatures that would be definately taken notice of by the politicians and the press which could be swayed to our side if it is all presented right.

I would agree that perhaps you wouldnt be the best front person because of your commercial interest via this site but there are plenty of us that can speak our minds and know what we want and that safety is paramount to us.

we need to get out there and make it real with the leaflets about our campaign and pens and paper for signatures. what do the other girls think?

Well, Patricia, I gotta say it. I knew it all along about you but fair play girl. You could easily just sit back and collect the revenue from this site but it's really soul warming to see how much concern you have for working girls and how much effort you put into improving their conditions.
