I apologize if my explanation came across negatively. My intention wasn't to offend anyone, but rather to express my preferences. I value everyone's company. OP asked for opinions and I gave one. To each their own, we all have preferences based on personal experiences. These are mine. I am talking 65-70+. Many of us have preferences of various kinds. Just like clients do. Some like young, some like mature, some like all. If you were burnt a few times, you will be afraid to risk again. I don't see anything wrong with that on neither side.

Its up to you who you want to see and in your house its your rules of course, however we are all getting older by the day and not everyone should be tarred with the same brush as they say.

I have certain pet peeves, which I experienced in a certain age group more, maybe I was just very unlucky. I never said, all of them were like this, I only said I am more fearful now. If the cap doesn't fit, don't wear it.
