I still have not given up on the idea of marrying a former escort, she never asks me do I still visit other providers (I guess she doesnt want to know)

I think at 40 plus and your not married-which is where Im at - I think if she does not marry me- well ill marry someone for companionship and keep seeing providers for the extra thrill and their incredible beauty

to answer your question- the meaning of life- Life is defined by the choices we make- if we make the wrong choices on a 50-50 decision it can have lifelong consequences.
A dangerous weakness of mine- "an attraction for fast women and slow horses"

I'm a gambling man but I'd never enter into anything as serious as marriage on a 50-50 decision. You would want to be far more certain then that of your feelngs for the other person to even consider it.

Act in haste. Repent at leisure.

I think it is an easier decision to marry someone when the likelihood of kids decreases. I think I would find it easier to get married a second time than the first if the other party didn't want (or preferably couldn't have) kids.

Marriage much like life in general is about compromise and accepting up to a point anyway all the things about the other person that drive you crazy.

I think he's been mulling it over for years.

Be indecisive in unhaste. Repent at leisure.

Falcon, your 40 plus, your girlfriend doesn't need to be perfect, she just needs to love you and not be a basket case. Do it.

Those two basic requirements alone are setting the bar fairly high these days.

We’ll agree to differ on this Sarah. If you’ve doubts don’t do it in my view. My brothers wife left someone pretty much at the altar to marry my brother. They’re pretty happy 15 odd years later. Hardly scientific sample and the one drunken time I asked her why she said she wasn’t sure about the guy she jilted.

Sure after the referendum next week, and some recent high court decisions, there will be no reason to get married.

Life is meaningless. It's an endless series of clusterfucks, and it boils down to sheer luck and coincidence where/who/how/when/etc you're born.

All life on this planet could be wiped out tomorrow, and it wouldn't make a difference to Earth. All it is is a barren rock with a temporary blue and green jacket. Whether it happens tomorrow or in 5 billion years.

Haha, yeah sorry, it's like a book with a load of pages missing.

I should have said nothing and waited for more pages to come out.
