When are they making all the Formula-series cars electric, outside of Formula E that is? You'd imagine with all the environmental stuff going on and the worldwide rush with electric cars, that F1, F2, F3 etc will all have to go electric soon?

Works for slower, less powerful Formulas but it is not technically possible for Formula One at the moment. The batteries are too heavy and cannot contain enough energy to last a full race. They cannot be recharged during a race. [Two hour pit-stop?]
Major part of the atmosphere around Formula One is the sound of the engines. This would also be lost with electric engines.

A major source of power now for Formula One is electricity that is recovered from braking and from exhaust gases. No doubt in the future with improved technology and greater acceptance of electric road cars fully electric racing Formula One cars will come.
