Not sure where that figure is coming from but a study from 2017 that covers over 25 years in America (1989 to 2014) says the average person has sex 54 times a year which in a sexually active life of 60 years would be closer to 3,250 times. The number has been steadily falling. I've seen the survey that figure of 5,778 comes from and the sample of 2,000 is on the low side.

It would be in the hundreds for most people I would say.The lockdown years would have been a lean time for many including myself! Even those in long term relationships and married for years wouldn't be at it all the time.
