Lets hope he brings in a few good playesrs. No trips to the sun but you wouldnt want to be playing Russia in the middle of winter either. Handy enough group especailly if Guss Hiddink leaves

On paper it looks easy. But that won't be the case. The likes of Slovakia and Macedonia are no whipping boys anymore. You have to be at your best against these teams. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Slovakia beat us in a friendly in the last year or so. I remember them givung Wales a hammering a few years ago. Russia are a very good team with Arhavin and co.

What's the story with second place in this competition? Is it automatic qualification or play offs? If it's play off were fucked.
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

They beat Wales alright, but if Im not mistaken we both beat and drew with them, 1-0 and 2-2 The start of the Stephen Ireland Grannygate fiasco.

Macedonia beat us 3 -2 but that was a fluke of a game with McAteer getting sent off, The gold kit was worn and never again afterwards.

Yes Russia have Arsharvin but he dosnt always play well for the national side. Its there for the taking.

Same as usual best runner up goes through the rest have a playoff.

The last group was a harder one with Italy Bulgaria Cyprus and Monetnegro

We should win this Group (Should)

Hopefully Ireland will get at least a playoff place from this group but I wouldnt underestimate Russia Slovakia or Macedonia. Ireland always seem to struggle to get good results against the so called average teams. And Slovakia won their World Cup qualifying group dont forget.
    The Truth is out there.

It's good that we missed the traditional "big guns" like Spain, France, Portugal etc.

But Slovakia has been a war-torn country and that could be part of why they haven't always been prominent at the big competitions. Russia are also a very high standard even if they don't get far anymore...

Maybe they'll provide an excuse to visit some of the regions where a top escort can be as little as 37euro50 (depending on exchange rate) per half hour.
