The ladies would prefer if we allowed slideshows as well, because it makes it easier for them to have a video as they can just make one themselves out of a series of photos with windows movie maker at home to start with. I think we need to encourage ladies to work with this format, not set harsh rules right now.

I disagree! Slideshows are just pictures, could be fake or airbrushed, but in real video would be it very difficult to fake something.
If you really want to show to the clients a real not fake girl, it should be only real videos allowed. In the internet is "Any movie converter" for free for to download, so it is not problem to convert wma, mpeg, mpeg II, avi etc.

A slideshow showing a few photos only, all too good to be true, showing an escort with a questionable reputation could very well arrise suspicions (sometimes founded, sometimes not).

If someone who is longer on this site and has verified photos and / or reviews to confirm she is the girl in the photos would start airbrushing heavily OR steal some fake picture of a more beautiful woman and make a slideshow of them, they would immediately get a very dishonorable mention in the "Warning Section" of the site and maybe even some negative reviews. Most people aren't that naive and for the few of them that are I am afraid there is not much to do then learn a lesson once in a while and get better from there.

Who is to say that the same questionable escorts would not upload an actual video that doesn't belong to them? There are thousands of videos on the net showing girls dancing, teasing or doing god knows what. If some escorts are using fake photos, what do you think would stop those escorts to also use fake videos ??? In my opinion, nothing ! They could even screenshot when the video is on and get easily matching fake photos for their profiles without even needed advanced software, just croping the part of the screen that doesn't need to be seen in the photos

Let's also assume for the sake of it that indeed is very difficult to fake a video ...
There is always "help" available for anybody who wants to cheat, paid or unpaid ...


Like everythig in life, all is relative.
A slideshow could be as fake or as true as an actual video.

i dont think there is any need for a slideshow fuction on the videos since the profile has pics anyway and as for adding a fake video i think that fake videos will be found out just like fake pics are now.
if your going to allow slideshows you may as well scrap the whole idea and save yourself some money.

I sort of agree with you. That's why originally I said no slideshows. BUT I got a lot of feedback from ladies that they would like slideshows to be allowed. Now I've said we will allow slideshows, I'm not going to change my mind on that for a while, as that would be unfair. I will reconsider the issue in say 6 months, but not before then as I can't keep chopping and changing rules.

Video is expensive. To get a video made is an expense for escorts. It's an expense for us to host too I can tell you. But I think we should be encouraging it as it is good for clients. Letting ladies upload slideshows is like a middle ground, allowing them to start exploring the idea of video without forcing them to go out and pay for a professional video straight away.

Clients can't have it all their way to start. Straight away you want only real video footage, no slideshows? Next you want verified videos is it? If you demand it all your way to start with, what will probably happen is that video will never take off on this site, because many ladies will get pissed off and then our staff will get pissed off and then nobody will really bother with it.

Further down the road is when you start asking for video improvements, when it's been established as a feature of this site and everyone is used to it

I think this is one of those cases where imposing restrictions on the escort simply limits the punter's options. People sometimes call for banning unverified pics, or escorts who don't allow reviews, but we already have the option of avoiding those escorts, so we wouldn't gain anything. Similarly, no one is being strapped to a chair and forced to watch slideshows of escorts, so I don't see who would benefit from banning them.

The one thing you might want to consider is labeling them. It would save some bandwidth both for E-I and some of its visitors, because video player plugins typically don't start up until they have cached the first few seconds. So even if someone sees that the video is a slideshow and stops it immediately, he has already downloaded the first few seconds.

Video is cheaper then to make a professional pics and pay a photograph. Every mobile phones in 2010 have a cam. If you make a 20 sec. short video, convert this for a most common format what allowes the website, where you like it to add, then you have no cost.
If you make no nude video, then you can add it in you tube (like me) and you even don´t have costs for hosting. Is cheaper for you then host so many profiles with pics.
My video in my profile is no-professional, this is tooken with a cam for pics :-) It costed me nothing. My prof. videos are in member page on FemDom-Austria.com for sell, for sure, this vids i will not post for free here.
This is just a small tipp for ladies, who want to make video without any costs :-)

YouTube are actually removing nearly all escort videos whether there is any nudity or not. If yours hasn't been, you are lucky, but I know many ladies have had theirs removed. This is why we stopped using YouTube.
