No nominations have been received for the current month, but awaiting them.

How should we go about submitting PotM nominations? I do think a dedicated thread for members to drop nominations in was/is a good idea. Though, it probably should be started by a mod and made a sticky.

I also think that previous PotMs were un-sticky-ed once the winner was announced. That way people could offer congrats without it cluttering the topics header and eventually it can get lost in the ether.

I'm actually a bit confused as to why that post caused such animosity. Would you prefer that PotM just go the way of the dodo if you're not the one involved in it? Like taking your ball and going home when you don't get your way (I actually didn't peg you as the clout seeker or tantrum thrower)?

I actually think the idea of PotM is a very good one. Creates a bit engagement for the members to contribute, makes one feel like they are appreciated by other members and the mods, builds a sense of community...

You yourself stated that you would have preferred the mods to run the collection and poll, I agree with that sentiment. Unfortunately that didn't happen last month and 2 weeks in to the new month, with no poll posted for the members to vote on, I posted one so it wouldn't be lost.

Maybe I wasn't the right person to do so, in your eyes, but I didn't see anyone else start the poll. Maybe I think a thread where all members can drop their nominations is also a good idea (so it doesn't seem like the aristocracy is just picking and choosing who they want). Maybe I can recognize the good ideas others have and not be afraid tout that idea, even if it's from someone I disagree with on other topics. Maybe I think you'd have to be rather closed minded and small to disregard all ideas from those you occasionally disagree with.

Fear not, I haven't been on enough this month to make a proper assessment of the PotM nominated posts (only 3 come to mind off the cuff), so someone else can get that squared away this go 'round (or it can either on the vine and die {though I do think that would be a shame}).

You used POTM for your own agenda do not even pretend otherwise , rather obvious , so no you are not the person to drive it forward . I put a stop to your last attempt , your probably a bit challenged as a result . You are not worth bothering with , your past not the point .Your current form enough for me. You lack the ability to handle a relatively small challenge without whinging stuck pig style .
