I tried my best to give thanks to every post as the thread went on, but as it took on a life of its own I could never keep up. So let me say here thanks to all who contributed and who continue to contribute to this forum as a whole in a positive way.

I will say I started it innocently enough as a place where established members could discuss some of the more controversial topics of this forum without the drama that normally comes along with that.
In fairness though, it was getting a bit witch-hunty, which goes against my own personal philosophy of live and let live. It was never my intention for it to turn out like that and I think it would be good to have a look at my opening statement for the thread to give context to what I wanted for it:
"Right or wrong they all added something to the forum I thought. I'm personally not a fan of censorship, but I understand there are lines not to be crossed and I don't fully know what they might have done to get the ban hammer. But it's important for discussion to have opposing views on any topic, otherwise it's basically just a big circle jerk."

This forum is a microcosm of society, it really, really does take all sorts, and we don't have to agree on everything to get along. I think there's plenty of room for opposing views, as long as we agree on the important things in life. And on this forum I like to think our common belief is our love of visiting escorts and our support of a safe and fair working environment for sex workers.
But as with all things, change is an unstoppable force, the original thread is gone, so let us say our goodbyes and eagerly anticipate the birth of something even better in its place.

As for EI as a whole, it's been a fun forum the entire time I've been signed up, nearly 10 years ago. I've learned a lot, got to chat with plenty of interesting fellas and have been very lucky to get to meet and know a few escorts on a more personal level than I could have otherwise. I've really enjoyed it all to be honest.
This isn't some retirement post, I'm still going to be visiting the wonderful providers I discover through EI, I'll still be posting occasionally and when I remember to, leaving the occasional review. But as with the end of any era it's a good time to take stock and look forward.
I for one think 2024 is going to be the best year in the history of this site and sex work in Ireland, but again I've always been a bit of a delusional optimist!
Has anyone got predictions on the direction things will go, for this forum and sex work in Ireland as a whole?
