Cashless Society.

Hi all was listening to a programme on the radio today how we are slowly becoming a cashless society. I know cash is what most ladies accept for payment when we visit them. Are there any ladies out there that accept card or revolut if a client needed to use it .Its getting harder every day now to find cash machines. Anyway would like to know thoughts on this .

Without trying i can probly count at least 6 within 2km of where i am standing.

If all else fails go to the bank and use the machines inside.

Im sure some do take revolut, but why not just have your cash ready in the days prior?

This was also on the news today.

"The new Access to Cash laws will aim to keep the numbers of ATMs at the same level as they were in December 2022, to coincide with the Retail Banking Review. Meanwhile, grocery shops and pharmacies will have to accept cash as part of laws imposed later on this year."

I also prefer cash, but I would say at least 50% of the ladies here do accept Revolut. I've been caught out a few times with out of order ATM's or there's just no money in them so ended up paying the lady by Revolut. It's a good backup option to have

This is true, I am encountering this more and more Juries hotel in Cork city centre is card only, I recently encountered a privately owned coffee shop (run by an Irish lady my own age) that would only accept card, even though I actually had cards on me I just pretended I had left them in my car and walked out of the shop in disgust.

My last visit to my accountant (Yes I do have an accountant people, yes he does know where my income really comes from) he reckons That there will be no avoiding us in the future that we really are going to become a cashless society, even if I was not in this industry I dread the thought perhaps it’s because I am old-fashioned and resistant to change I don’t know, cash will always be in my book.

It's possible that, if Trump is elected, that there may be a delay on the introduction if a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) because I'm pretty sure he is not a fan. But this plan is already in motion, the Davos crowd are all in on CBDCs, so I expect cash to no longer exist within 5 years.

I have literally just gone to an ATM machine to get cash, and it said lodgement only no cash available.

I made this thread here some time ago. Well in fact it doesn’t matter if we are talking about sex business or not. It will be a dissaster for all. Just imagine all transactions are monitored. Of course most of people think it will be easier for us but it’s what we should think about it - iťs for our good. Its a nonsense! We will loose part of our freedom.

Iam not conspiratorial as it will happen but we don’t know when…
