Frozen!!!!!!!

Lads!! (And ladies, of course!)

Jaysus, are ye all Frozen like me?!

I’m not cut out for this weather at all!

I saw the manager out in the car park earlier with a wheelbarrow of some sort of granules, maybe it’s salt and a shovel spreading it all over the path and the car park, I remember the big freeze here back in 2009 in December of that year, I remember I drove from Dublin to Mayo and it took me six hours, no joke, but I don’t remember the conditions being as bad as what they are now, last night I drove from mayo to Athlone and I’ve never experienced conditions like it - I could feel the car wobbling on the ice and I was driving so slowly, and at the same time it was pissing fcuking rain while the car was telling me that it’s -2° Outside!!!


The minute the rain was hitting the windscreen it was freezing, and the water in the windscreen fluid thingy was frozen (I think, or maybe it was just empty, I dunno!) so I couldn’t use that I was having to pull over the car to pour water on the windscreen to clear it up!

I’ve genuinely never experienced driving conditions like it, im not able for extreme heat or extreme cold at all ha ha maybe I was in my twenties but not now in my ould age ha ha!! All I am able far is the rain ha ha ha!

Anyway, I wish everyone who reads this a warm happy and pleasant evening whatever you are up to for those of you going to bed sweet dreams for those of you who might be at work all night don’t work too hard my darling!

Same happened to me but the problem was a box of Durex on the dash- Condomsation!

If it is of any consolation to you Jenny, 2 days ago , I turn my car on in the morning and it was - 6.

Drove from work to home at 6 pm today and temperature was -2. It is expected to go to - 4 tonight or maybe more.
I will update you tomorrow morning if I didn't die of exposure.

I have been in Athlone once in winter and the fucking wind around that river is baltic.

By the way, if you are in Athlone pay a visit to Sean's bar, the oldest pub in the world (AD 900)

Knowing Where are you come from, I would imagine you are not too used to this kind of cold!!!

I honestly never knew that about Sean’s bar! I must look it up, even though I don’t drink, would still be an interesting visit!!!

I think there are several bars around Ireland which claim to be Ireland’s oldest pub, I know for a fact there is one in Dublin city centre, Or the name escapes me now, someone here will surely know is, it is across the bridge in the city centre across from Smithfield, I cannot think of the name of us and I know for a fact that this pub claims to be the oldest pub in Ireland!

But now Barney has educated us all on condensation, Hahaha, who says you never learn something from an adult website??!!!!!!!

Times like this I wish I was a lottery winner and had one of those fancy cars were you click the button when you are still inside your home and the car turns on and it heats up for you, hands up here who has one of those bad boys?

god help us if we ever get serious snow, we can barely handle the dusting we get, the schools dropped the shutters before the first flakes hit the ground
