Thread: Responsible Punting

  1. #1

    Default Responsible Punting

I am new to this scene (4 months) and want to be responsible and get (STI) check.

I have a couple of questions, how frequently do you get checked out and how discreet is the testing?

I can't get those tests posted to my home, is there a clinic in Dublin you would recommend?

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Cheers.

    How often ?

Depends on your sexual behavior and number of partners you engage with ::

Bareback anal intercourse - you’d be an Eejit to go that way but if you Do …

Unprotected vaginal intercourse - you’d still be an Eejit to go that way .. get checked weekly : for a Year : Eejit .

If you use a condom in Every Instance of sexual activity - including Oral With ::

You’d be alright with say twice a year ? Yearly ?

Gage and alter your own sexual behavior to a level of risk you are comfortable with ::

:: for Me it’s Condom Every Time / but I do love owo .

I’d like to think that Most people would go in for a check at least twice a year - if not Quarterly .

Prevention much better than needing treatment : Always dress your willie !!

But if caught something : you’d want to know about it Sooner much rather than Later !!

    Get Checked !

Syphillis , Gonorrhea , Chlamydia , all can be treated with antibiotics / catch in Time !

    HIV , HPV , HepB , HepA , Herpes Simplex 1 and 2 == all viral infections .

Get vaccinated for HepA , HepB , for HPV !! ::: the rest : Don’t catch it .

There’s much more to be said , but I gotta go .

There are local clinics you can walk in to .

Maybe some other good folks will give you more info . I gotta go .

    Don’t be Silly !

    Dress your Willie !!

    Every Time .
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

    Try this.

    https://sh24.ie/

Excellent service, its free, discreet pack with the test inside, they post it to any address. ( can be posted to your work address)
The pack contains tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hiv and syphilis. It comes with instructions and also another envelope to send your samples. You send the samples and they will text you the results in a week or 10 days.
I recommend this to everyone. Easy to use.
    Play safe and get tested.

Order online, return and get results by text
Get it sent to a mates house or work address or look at having sent to one of the parcel motels or collect from post office.

Well done you for asking a smart question and being responsible with your sexual health!

Nothing at all to be ashamed about, STI testing is not for “dirty” People, as those of us of a certain generation have been brought up to believe, the insanity of it all, STI testing is for intelligent responsible, healthy people and from what I can see it is becoming more the norm amongst the younger generations there are more open and aware of it all which is a wonderful thing!

HSE public STI screening services are FREE and almost every HSE hospital has a GUM or Sexual health clinic. (Community sexual health services, there is usually a clinic found us every HSE hospital) Usually open Monday to Friday 9 to 5 type hours, and they can either email you the results or text you the results, they will not post them to your home.

You can call the HSE helpline (look it up on google) For the phone number of the STI clinic or sexual health service clinic in your local hospital Or whatever hospital you choose for and then call them to arrange a booking. Don’t be one bit embarrassed they see this every day, and it is absolutely worth it for peace of mind xx

My personal preference is the hibiscus clinic in Dublin, it is a private clinic so you have to pay for us, it deals exclusively in sexual health.

“ The pack contains tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hiv and syphilis.”

That sounds like a fair comprehensive test kit !

Does it include throat swabs as well as g/u swabs ? / does it include Swabs ??

// and what it’s not Testing for :: people should be vaccinated for : HepA , HepB , HPV …

: ALL sexually active persons x
