I'm trying to help. I've asked that suggestions and comments on how to improve the review system be made here in a somewhat condensed manner so that I may present them to the Patricia for consideration and perhaps implementation instead of having them scattered all over the board in countless threads where I'm fairly sure they won't be seen. I have neither the time nor the inclination to trawl through this site looking for everyones suggestions. As I say, I'm trying to help but if you can't be bothered to post your suggestions for improvments here then so be it.........

A suggestion which has been made before is to ban repeat offenders. Not to ban them from advertising, but to ban them from the reviews system. In other words, to have a note like the "opt out" note, but saying "This escort has been removed from the E-I reviews system due to continuing concerns about dishonest reviews."

There is a very convincing reason not to do this with the current system: There is rarely any evidence that the escort herself (occasionally himself) was involved. In particular, a good way to destroy someone's reputation is to submit a lot of obviously fake positive reviews.

I think this can be made to work, but it would require a large number of changes. Some of these are also old suggestions, but I think you would need to implement all of them in order to make banning fair.
1) Ask escorts to mark all new reviews as soon as possible as definitely genuine, definitely fake, or not sure. On each review have an icon to indicate one of five possibilities:
a) marked genuine by escort
b) marked fake by escort
c) escort is unsure about this review
d) not marked yet, exercise caution
e) submitted before the new system
2) To give escorts a chance to remember whether an appointment was real, automatically reject reviews for appointments more the 48 hours old. This also allows escorts to respond to negative reviews while they still remember details of the appointment. Manually reject any which say that the date or time are not accurate.
3) Allow reviews also of escorts whose profiles are now down, but which were up during the last 48 hours. Otherwise rejecting older reviews is unfair.
4) Don't lose reviews! Otherwise the 48 hour rule won't work. In particular, no reviewer should ever see the "thank you for submitting a review" unless the review has gone into the system.
5) Allow reviewers to select times at half hour intervals, not just hour intervals.
6) Rat only reviews which have been marked by the escort, to give escorts a chance to report fake positive reviews themselves.
7) Ban repeat offenders, i.e. escorts who accumulate too many ratted positive reviews which are marked genuine. It's probably best not to have a fixed rule about how many is too many, or escorts will opt out just in time to avoid banning.

A month ago a completely new version of this message board software was released, which we have to upgrade to. Our reviews system is intergrated with our message board, therefore as a result of this we have to re-write the whole reviews system just to get back to square 1. You don't appreciate it I know, but this is what is going on at the moment.

Since about Jan 1st, I've been telling our developers, if possible, don't spend time working on our existing reviews system, just focus on the new one and lets try to get it out as soon as possible. So there has not been a lot of changes to reviews system this month I hope, but to say there have been no changes in last 2 years is soooooooooooo not true. There were in fact loads of changes made in November / December.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I feel, in a way, I am better off cracking the whip trying to get new reviews system done than hanging around here making promises.
