Come back , both gone and it’s only me left being askew between the white lines : :

Looks like ITA for my parking x

I interview probably 2 people a week, mostly 20 something graduates. They are no different than any of us were at the same age, and those stories are generally bullshit.

People just forget exactly what they were like when they were wet behind the ears, and think they were as confident and competent as they are now. They were not, and I was not

I remember a guy showing up for an interview wearing more colours than a rainbow. Yellow boots, woman's red coat, ponytail, jewellery everywhere, and a scruffy beard. Guy had had never ever worked and had been told to social welfare to prove he was looking for work and he landed an interview at the first place he dropped in a CV. He showed up like this deliberately to get refused the job. Boss saw right through him and converted him into a productive member of society.
But before that. First impressions. Boss stepped into reception, saw the gear yer man was wearing, and cool as a breeze asked, "You're not colour blind by any chance?"

    100% Agree with this Stephanie!!!!

I saw on TV and interview with a young British lady in early 20s, This is on British TV now, Who is currently campaigning to have it made illegal for a Male to wolfwhistle at a female.

She spoke about this happening to her in the street or as she passed a building site and spoke about how it’s made her feel intimidated, how it made her feel to be the inferior gender, Blah blah blah

    What. The. Actual. Fuck?????

In my early 20s, the odd time I may have been wolfwhistle that, well let me tell you I felt 10 foot tall, I would never look or respond, of course, I’ll be too proud for that, But let me tell you if I was wolfwhistled at I would strut down the street like a peacock thinking to myself “that’s right , world, today I am a FINE THING”!!!!

This is the same generation who are growing up in an era where women have never had it so good, the right to vote the right to equal pay et cetera et cetera the war on feminism is well and truly won and over, now, This same generation - and Again this is in the UK but more than likely to follow here - Are campaigning for female rights to have time off work if they are suffering from PMT or time off work for going through the menopause?!!!!!

    Wtf?????

How did our grannies survive going through these things with 10 steps of the ladder children to look after, no such luxuries as washing machines are dishwashers or ironing boards, surviving on four or five hours of sleep per night . . .

And this bull of “ Don’t judge me for posting seminaked pictures on my Insta, it’s my right to do so because it is EMPOWERING (some young females excuse nowadays For publicly behaving in an overly sexual manner) I am not doing this from man, I am doing this for me and to empower other ladies to do the same.

    Bull. Sheeeeeet.

Guys, please don’t think that I am branding all of today’s young females like this because that is certainly not the case, every day I see intelligent young females, bossing their lives, Excelling in the workplace, excelling in their studies, excelling in sports And thank God for these ladies, Who clearly also possess something that seems to be getting rarer and rarer nowadays - common sence.

Anyway guys that’s my tuppence worth, Lord who would’ve thought that this debate would have sprung from a thread entitled “Cnuts”

I've been on this forum a good few years now. It is steadily becoming an online Daily Mail. It's probably in line with the aging profile of all of us. Very few 20 somethings use online forums anymore.

Kids today are generally doing alright. They think they are the most oppressed generation ever, but so did mine, and the one before that. There weren't the social media platforms to amplify the most extreme voices for rage engagement monetisation. That's the main difference.

Also, I will never understand the mentality of "I went through a shit situation growing up, so everyone should have to". I worked in a few kitchens part time when in school, with chefs who were complete dickheads. And true, it probably didn't do me any harm, but it also didn't do me any good, and I'm perfectly fine with any generation calling those cunts and their working practices out or refusing to work for them, hopefully leaving those chefs short staffed and having to either change or go broke.

I would be much happier with the younger generation making policy than I have ever been with the older generation making policy.

As someone in their 20s, most people I know, girls and fellas have a good idea of graft and hard work.

Tbf there are a good few saps about the place. I think they give all of us a bad name

A big thing I find that a lot of people my age don't understand is saving money. They seem to think ah sure you go out for a few pints, take away coffee and a pastry every morning, spotify, netflix and the likes. Then shocked when they have nothing left at the end of the month. the little stuff all adds up

Like if you budget right you can enjoy yourself. I have enough to punt, pay my car finance plan, rent and even treat the missus the odd night to take out and still have some quid left at the end of the month to go into savings
