Seriously though, this lady gave us her details and asked our permission before posting and so we believe she is a genuine journalist.

She has been honest about why she is here and what she is looking for, she is not trying to trick unwilling participants into talking to her, so be nice.

Nobody is forcing anyone to get in touch with her, but there may be some people here who would like to.

If this journalist writes a silly article, I'll be the first to say I think it's so, but I believe in giving people a chance. There is no need to be hostile. And please bear in mind that what you feel is joking around can feel intimidating if you are new and on the receiving end of it. Say nothing, say what you think, but try to be constructive. How do you know that this journalist would only write rubbish no matter what her research uncovered? You don't. Why not give her a chance?

Sounds to me that you have already decided that the article is going to paint the picture that punting has a negative effect.....
