That's a long season and a lot of races, tough season on all the team members.

    22. Should have been 24 but two were cancelled. Very long and exhausting season for both drivers and teams.

    [19 wins, 2 second places, 1 fifth place. ]

So just 3 races that he didn't win. I suppose he expects to win every race. Could he go on to be the best ever? Or how do you define best ever, is it by the amount of titles or what?

Just reading now, I was so busy enjoying the last race of the season.

Terrible Ferrari. I wonder if they will step up next year. I don't like Carlos, yet, this was a silly race for him.

Super happy for George and Lando.

Is Sergio staying at Red Bull for the next year?

Of course, well done to my fav driver, Fernando Alonso !!!
    Naughty videos on EF.

    Is hard to define "best"
Not impossible Max Verstappen could win eight championships. But, you never know what happens, not so long ago it was being suggested Lewis Hamilton (remember him? ) could win over 10 or twelve of more championships.

A lot of things can happen. How long does he want to race? How long can he maintain that level of concentration? How long before some other team produces a much-superior car? How long before the powers-that-be decide one person winning is boring and they try to change the conditions and rules to prevent that? The tyre regulations were an attempt to do that, with tyres that would have sudden degradation in performance.

I think Max Verstappen is certainly one of the best. He is certainly consistent. This is a hard thing to achieve, and few other sports people have been able to do this. One thing to win, but to win consistently, especially in some cases were conditions are not in your favour, is another.

Generally speaking, often the more unstable and "edgy" a car is, the faster it is. Max Verstappen seems to be able to drive a fast, edgy car that others would not be able to handle.
It was said of Michael Schumacher that if he was asked to push for two or three laps he could concentrate and produce a few necessary exceptional laps. Max Verstappen seems to be able to concentrate and produce a large number of exceptional laps.
Fernando Alonso is a candidate for one of the best ever, but he needs feedback from the car to find the limit, and he gets that from moving the steering a bit, but Max Verstappen seems just to have an instinct as to where that limit is. Max Verstappen just seems, at the moment to be the complete driver.

Fernando Alonso possibly handles a less-than-perfect car better than him.
Jenson Button was an incredibly line-perfect driver (likely one of the best ever) through a corner.
Could list a long list of drivers who could do specific things better, but I do think overall, Max Verstappen is to be listed among the best of all time.

Short answer, yes but there could be an outside chance of a swap with Yuki Tsunoda.
The other "iffy" driver Logan Sargeant is staying with Williams. Maybe a case of the Devil you know.

Red Bull Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez
    Mercedes Lewis Hamilton, George Russell
    Ferrari Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz
    McLaren Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri
Aston Martin Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll
    Alpine Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly
    Williams Logan Sargeant, Alex Albon
    AlphaTauri Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki Tsunoda
    Sauber Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu
    Haas Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg
