Unfortunate for Lando after a great first few laps, but he stays ahead of his team mate.

Max Verstappen pits and is now seventh. Early hectic racing means what should have been a one-stop race will probably be two-stop for most.

Certainly less tyre management means better racing.

Is there any chance of rain?

Carlos Sainz in really needs to get into the points for team points.

So far, no retirements in race.

Strange tyre strategy for Sainz hard hard so he commits to a two stop, tyre degradation must be higher than the team anticipated.

Fernando Alonso lifts off to let (or force) Lewis Hamilton to overtake to take advantage of DRS. Penalty? No, say the stewards.

Ham Alon have a bit of history. No penalty for Alonso.

Contact between Lando Norris and Sergio Perez in fifth and sixth. Under investigation.

Sergio Perez eventually up to fourth.

Sainz isn't having a great race as he's overtaken by both Alonso and Hamilton. The points swing back to merc. Can Russel keep Perez behind??

Russell probably can. Especially since Perez has got a five second penalty. Sainz is not having a good race so it does look like Mercedes is second in the championship.
