People are shocked and angry today, there would be something wrong if we weren’t.
Just watching Virgin Media News, Richard Chambers on O’Connell St there’s loads of gaurds to be seen in the background, he reported that there has been a small number of Public Order incidents and youths kicking off at the McDonalds but that Gardai acted swiftly. So some of these thugs were looking to destroy their own city again tonight.
I despise that they have taken the focus off the injured yesterday and the mind boggling reality of what actually happened.

Ok, thanks Jenny, the post is a bit confusing, his name isn't out which is perfectly normal. He's getting medical treatment for physical injuries, hit over the head with a helmet full force. Thankfully he wasn't kiled so that he can face the public in open court when charged.
It's been a really depressing 24 hours.
It’s not normal that he hasn’t been named in the media, I already made this this point . . . But I agree that death would have been too good for him.

If they name him quite likely put all family he has at risk of reprisals, they may be completely innocent. Likewise his neighbours. After what we saw last night from the 'salt of the earth' types it would be no surprise if they found his house or apt that they'd burn it down, risking lots of innocent lives.

Most people are totally shocked by yesterday's events, just saw the interview with the man who fought off the attacker.Just read the Independent which gives the horrific details of what actually happened yesterday.
This subhuman specifically targeted the 5 year year old girl and stabbed her in the NECK before the crèche worker intervened and she herself suffered multiple stab wound. The Brazilian national and several others then intervened to apprehend the man.
I just can’t get my head around how someone could take a knife to an innocent little child, and 2 other children also.
The picture on the front of the Independent is something I could never even fathom I would see in the heart of our Capital, a bus and a patrol car burning beside the Daniel O Connell monument.
It’s just hard to wrap my head around the insanity of it all
I still find it hard to believe the vicious nature of the attack and the rioting and vandalism that followed later on.
Your post about the girl and how she should be watching the toy show tonight, absolutely heartbreaking.
