not sure fighting suits everyone, we've employed a lad from Ukraine, he's 6'4", he'd be far too tall for a trench, be dead before breakfast.

yeah, women and children only would be a good start

They are handed homes and vouchers for Tesco/Supervalue.

    Do you think this ok?

And don’t Give me “I stand with my Islamic brothers”
I’ve already stated as I fully support any immigrants who comes here and will integrate and woodwork and will contribute to society. There is a big difference between this type of immigrant And these bus loads of work shy men With completely different morals and a completely different belief system to our own, oil and water they don’t mix with our society or culture. I genuinely dread to think what the country is going to be like in 10 years time bad enough as it currently is.

It’s also well documented and I personally know families with “good” government jobs Who are struggling to pay their mortgage, struggling to pay their bills, working their arses off, look at those guards had to go through last night, and the rest of the emergency services personnel and also it’s well documented that our young people cannot afford or cannot obtain accommodation, cannot obtain a mortgage, yet these men are handed housing.

Do you think this is ok?
Jenny, in this thread you have said youd be at the front of any protest without knowing all the facts, if I was you thats where id shut my hole.
You then heard it was an Algerian man arrested and conflated it with a previous case, when it was pointed out that it was an Afghan man you compared both nations and their hardline stance on women. Do me a favour. You are talking about muslim culture.
Just own it, im not saying its progressive but there are thousands of Afghans/Algiers in Ireland going about their business.

You cant praise Brazilians, when i have pointed out 4 of them were a rape gang, and condemn other nationalities and come out squeaky clean.

Youre just a parrot now for the right wingers as per your last paragragh, this is the governments problem, dont throw every single peaceful immigrant/refugee under the bus

Delighted to see the whole country has condemned the scumbags who wrecked the city last night. Hopefully the media will all be in the courts this morning, at least 32 scummers are due to appear, get their photos, names & addresses and publish. I'd have more respect for rats in a shithole than these scum.

    Its a very logical sentiment.
I am being very 'dogooder' here but what happens if Palestinians look for refuge?
    The options are really simple
    1. No entry
    2. Go back to Gaza and get your passport from under the rubble.
Im just interested to hear your take.

Which side should they stay and fight for? The Taliban/Syrian Army or the other side of both of those conflicts that has zero weaponry to fight with and has been completely abandoned internationally, meaning that is isn't stay and fight it is stay and die against an army who is funded and equipped infinitely better than the other side is.

"Military Aged Men" is the current dog whistle phrase. It is meaningless, and basically means that huge numbers of people cannot ever be considered in need of asylum. Take a 40 year old from Afghanistan. There was about ten years of that person's life where his country wasn't at war. And those 10 years were under the control of the Taliban, hardly respite. Basically 40 years of trauma.

Stay and fight? Why would you? Why would anyone?
Right starting with Afghanistan. They were not left with nothing. They were left we modern army well equipped, APCs, tank, helicopter gunships etc all the works. They had far superior weapons and far out numbered the Taliban, but the wast majority of them chose to flee instead of fighting. They ran from the country leaving the Taliban billions in military equipment to enslave their wives and children. So no the Afghan people were not abandoned by the west they were abandoned by its own men. The same men who are now here.

As for Syria again bull. The US didn't abandon Syria it got exactly what it wanted from Syria, the oil field in northern Syria. Billions of dollars worth of oil being taken illegally and from Syria by the US..

Won't be a problem. Leo already stated Ireland will not be taking in Palestinian refugees. It would probably look bad to to help out the people of Palestinian after our EU overlords gave Israeli our full backing.
