It always is, sometimes you’ve just got to play the long game, anything worth having is worth waiting for

Well threads like this one are a gift if you are a hotel manager and keeping an eye on EI.. why not post in established members section? At least login required... Wasnt there a similar thread recently?

In fairness it’s not the usual groundless scare mongering crap, might stop a few lads getting a scare and it’s not like he’s named the hotel, seems like they know exactly what’s going on anyway

I've always found props are as good as a disguise, shopping bag etc
and a nice little gift is always welcomed with open arms

I never meet a girl empty handed
I believe carrying a bag gives off a sense of belonging!?

    Although not a gifted bag!
I think it makes it blatantly obvious I'm going to meet a girl
Which might raise other questions to nosy neighbours "who's the lucky girl" etc

I always put the brightly colored gift bag inside another discreet shopping bag until I'm in the door

I don't want to stand out to much,
    just look like I belong

any time that I stay in a hotel, I treat it as my home. I've never had a problem bringing a friend to my room provided that they're not staying the night. Even recently, I stayed in a hotel the night before a wedding, the next morning, four of my friends showered and changed in my room before the wedding, I asked for more towels and offered to pay extra, but hotel provided the towels at no extra cost.
The most likely reason that staff would block a visitor entering a lift would be security concerns.

    I applaud your persistence
for the right lady I'd be exactly the same

It seems to me if this receptionist has taken to chasing after anyone who doesn't seem to belong
Then it must be at the direction of upper management and if that is the case
then all staff would have been given the same guidance!?

I would suggest that you don't walk through the main doors straight to the lift but walk into a communal area, bar, breakfast bar etc

Grab a quick drink, read a paper or whatever is necessary to hang around for 10-15 min

I would imagine there attention is focused on anyone going from front door-lift,
break the pattern they are watching for!?

    Good luck 👍
Give us an update on how you got on

but you can spare the gory details!!

I love hotel punts, just as much as the next person, but I have had 2 hairy incidents in Cork hotels recently! Just tonight I was flat out barred from going to a punt.

Strolled through the doors of the hotel using my normal tactic of talking to absolute no one with a pair of airpods, fairly discreetly, and just started strolling towards the lift. This receptionist, who was literally checking these American tourists in leapt out of her chair and bolted towards me. Asked was I okay and if I was a resident. Asked where I was going, came up with some daft story how I was going to meet a fella called John. She told me to sit in the reception and that she'd call him and that non-residents were not allowed up to the rooms. I knew there and then she was calling my bluff so I told her ah fuck it I'll give him a call outside and left. Was fucking raging, her ad was stunning and her accent was well sexy on the phone !

I have read other threads on this site discussing how clients have had managers knocking on doors mid punt, ladies being thrown out of hotels.

I wonder are hotels clamping down on it more? This hotel tonight has been a such a reliable hotel for years since I started punting in 2019/2020.

    Dunno tbh guys
