    Default The Cork hotel scene

This is an anti-hotel thread, so TommyH avert your eyes son !

I love hotel punts, just as much as the next person, but I have had 2 hairy incidents in Cork hotels recently! Just tonight I was flat out barred from going to a punt.

Strolled through the doors of the hotel using my normal tactic of talking to absolute no one with a pair of airpods, fairly discreetly, and just started strolling towards the lift. This receptionist, who was literally checking these American tourists in leapt out of her chair and bolted towards me. Asked was I okay and if I was a resident. Asked where I was going, came up with some daft story how I was going to meet a fella called John. She told me to sit in the reception and that she'd call him and that non-residents were not allowed up to the rooms. I knew there and then she was calling my bluff so I told her ah fuck it I'll give him a call outside and left. Was fucking raging, her ad was stunning and her accent was well sexy on the phone !

I have read other threads on this site discussing how clients have had managers knocking on doors mid punt, ladies being thrown out of hotels.

I wonder are hotels clamping down on it more? This hotel tonight has been a such a reliable hotel for years since I started punting in 2019/2020.

    Dunno tbh guys

My suspicious is that I know there are currently like 5-6 women advertising from that hotel, and the reception is on the left hand side when you come in so there's no avoiding them. I'd say there's a huge amount of punters coming through each day.

Like her tone today and expression was suspicion. I think they know the game or whats going on

Well that’s a great way to ruin your day, very odd as that’s honestly the first time I’ve ever heard anything like that, certainly nothing remotely like this has ever happened to me, let’s hope she was just some over zealous new employee.
Mind you sometimes it’s not the punter that makes things obvious though, who knows what the foot traffic was like through the foyer before you turned up, discretion isn’t a one way street.

Ah well, there’s your answer, hotels will turn a blind but not when there’s a queue at the lift

    I hope so Tommy,

have arranged a time tomorrow with the same girl. I'm eager I know lol

I'm wondering is there a car park lift or maybe going through the leisure centre.

Maybe I'll channel my inner Tom Cruise and enter through some air vent/ ceiling fitting

I was stood at the door of a key carded lift, wine in one hand, gift bag in the other when asked by a staff member if I needed help, “well you could swipe me in before I drop something” no problem sir, a little bit of plastic wasn’t going to stop me 👍
