Same. I hate spending money on rapidly depreciating rubbish, including work stuff, except for changing my car. I’d be just as happy with an old van for the dogs but the car is a work asset worth it’s weight in gold.

    Oh same here !!!

/ except lingerie . I love nice lingerie - not even for the guys , but for Meeeee !

Nice Lingerie doesn’t depreciate : it brings hours of pleasure over its lifetime - to me , and

    to my companions 🔥 x

You’ve also worked long, hard and smart for your things so that you don’t have to “work” for them anymore.

I always used only cash even if all my income was coming in bank account. Maybe iam too paranoid but i don’t want someone knows for what iam spending my money and where. I know its a question of time when the cash will not be here anymore but why should we support it? Its very bad for people.

I don’t accept any Revolut etc. in my business. And i wish people pay with cash in general everywhere.

    Iam happy cash is here!
I used to be a frequent cash user, preferring it over card payments simply for convenience. I would pay for all my shopping in cash, with my bank account mostly used for transfers and online payments. However, the convenience backfired on me the day I decided to apply for Irish citizenship. I was asked to provide three consecutive months of bank statements showing card payments made within Ireland. To my astonishment, I had no payments at Irish locations because I always found it more convenient to pay with cash. I had to delay the submission of my documents by a few months and start using my card to be able to prove that I had been in Ireland, fulfilling this requirement. Since then, I've gotten used to using my card more, but I've noticed that when I pay with a card, I tend to spend more, lacking the sense of money that comes with physically looking in your wallet and having a better understanding of the amount spent.

I was in 1 of the larger retailers yesterday and was waiting for my turn at the checkout when the guy on the checkout said down the line that it was cash only.

That was fine with me as I was paying cash. Someone behind me though asked if it was just this till.

"No" he replies. None of the tills could take a card payment as the system had crashed.

Got me thinking. How many people there had no cash ?

If in the future we're living in a cashless society what happens when the system crashes like it did yesterday?

Exactly! If you lose your card, or it's damaged or stolen, etc., what do you do? How do you pay until you receive a new card? For me, a cashless society is like a person with a leash—I see people living in a cashless society as if they're horses pulling a cart.
