This is an unbelievably complex situation.
No simple solutions or answers , the only certainty is that many innocent people will lose their lives and be seen as collateral damage.
Because of an incident from my younger days, I will always have an extreme dislike/ hatred for Israel,
My best friend at school ended up as a peacekeeper with the UN .
The stories he told me about Israeli brutality were absolutely shocking.
What he seen and went through ultimately but indirectly killed him through alcoholism.
It’s possibly unfair of me to hold bitterness towards Israel as there is always good and bad on both sides , but that’s the way it is

Under US pressure - as of two days ago - Israel has turned the water back on in South Gaza —

— to a limited extent .

Biden / Netanyahu talks : though the US condemns the actions of Hamas , it strongly urges Israel

to Not equate Palestinian People with Hamas ; indiscriminate actions on the population is Not

acceptable . : Israel opened the spigot .

Further US stance : do Not occupy Gaza .


/ in meantime Israeli Defense Force at the ready to invade - purportedly delayed only by rain .

/ in meantime US does and will continue to supply Israel with high tech weaponry .

In 1947 the original map drawn up by the English gave Palestinians Approx 1/2 the land. They refused and sought the destruction of Israel. 4 wars later they now only have a fraction of that. Their leadership has failed them totally. It’s a death cult. The way hamas butchered those Israelis including women and children was a deliberate act knowing it left them no option to respond. The level of antisemitism is quite shocking to me. This would not be hanow if hsmas had not killed 1400 Jews. It’s hard to negotiate a peace agreement when one side’s position is your total destruction and right to exist.

That land was occupied by 90 % indigenous Palestinian Arabs and ~~ 10 % Jews , before WWII

Jewish refugees flooded in from war torn Europe , fleeing from Nazi persecution and execution .


: Britain in 1915 had promised the Arab population their own independent state ; then in 1917

they promised the Jewish people the very same — on the very same land .

Later , Britain arbitrarily drew a line on the map Without Consulting the indigenous 90 % of people

who have lived there for Centuries :: of Course they refused to sign such an ‘agreement’ !

It meant their people would be pushed off out of ‘half of’ their own land . Of Course they didn’t sign and

refused to recognize the Validity of such ‘border’ : they protested mightily against the taking of their land .

Then Britain lost its taste for the murderous chaos it created and elegantly withdrew and left the stage .
