Carlos Sainz out already. He has a fuel issue that cannot be fixed in time.
Due to safety concerns, cars can only run 18 laps on one set of tyres. That means a four-stopper at least and possible running on used tyres. This will upset some teams because they will not have saved tyres nor planned for this.

Racing incident. Max Verstappen got a good start and cut across to defend, this caused George Russell to slow and he was hit by Lewis Hamilton. No one's fault.

Sergio Perez has been given a five-second time penalty for track limits. Track limits is a problem here. Likely to be more.
Fernando Alonso goes off and returns in a cloud of sand and dust. Certain to get a penalty for an unsafe return to the track.
