Serious question. What if you are dating an escort? I know this has happened to at least a few guys. Weird how we are so progressive on LGBT and pro choice yet when it comes to consensual adults indulging in the most basic biological imperative on their own terms we go back into Victorian/old school Catholic mentality.
No consistency at all. I get how they have get rid of the despicable and exploitative aspects of the industry ( I’m 100% behind that) However the new law uses a very large and indiscriminate brush that tars decent punters and escorts.

So basically if they are investigating a crime scene were a search warrant has already been obtained

I would like to hope they aren't sitting outside a girls door on the off chance with a search warrant

Thank God flights to England and Holland are dirt cheap. God forbid they would do something about actual crime in broad daylight in our city centres post lockdown. It’s like Mad Max in O Connell st and Patrick st at the best of times after lockdown.

I had quite a scare during a Belfast appointment. I have left telling this a few weeks to keep the girl's anonymity.

I was about 15 minutes into a one-hour appointment, about to move from massage to other things, when there was an urgent knock on the door from another escort sharing the apartment - "the police are here". Police were at the door of the apartment block, waiting to be let in.

I asked the girls not to open the front door until I had left the apartment, and set about getting dressed at lightning speed. I left the apartment and headed upstairs (we were on floor 1 of 3).

I waited at the top landing until I heard them letting the police into their apartment and took the lift down. Thankfully I met no one, and walked away past the (empty) police car parked outside.

I kept an eye on WhatsApp and it turned out to be a friendly visit, making sure the girls were ok and not under control or pressure from anyone else.

In a a fine example of lower-brain thinking I returned about 15 mins later and finished the appointment - the girl was a bit special!

That has been my only scare in hundreds of visits, so I don't think it will have much affect on my behaviour - risks are still tiny.

The gards are usually pretty understanding about this sort of thing. I suspect they are more interested in stopping trafficking than catching people like us. I suspect they have a good idea about who is being trafficked and who is not. I also suspect that complaints from appartment dwellers has something to do with it too. Certainly if I lived in an appartment and people were coming and going at all hours to my next door neighbour and having a negative effect on my well being I would probably complain.

Laws aren’t always consistent… it’s always a work in progress.

    Has anyone been approached?
You hear of raids but that's only in the news periodically when they raid for forced prostitution or use of a brothel etc.
An independent escort should be fine and independent anyhow...
    Cheers
