In fairness Anita no one should have to be forced to live a lie, if large sections of the non gay section of society, and in particular many sports did not have such a hang up about it he would not have to even announce it. You don't see straight rugby players issuing a statement that they are straight so it will take lots more sports people to be as brave as he is being before the time comes that no one has to do what he has done. This is more the way society is geared that makes such a song and dance about it. I don't think you can blame him but more the society we live in.
