Confusing directions or stupidity

I'm just wondering is it me that's a bit thick or?
With all the apartment land springing up ,block after block of identical buildings Im finding it more and more difficult to follow directions,with no land marks and some blocks you have to be up beside them to see the number etc
And maybe the escort s first language is not English and maybe keeping her voice low so you end up wandering up and down the same rd trying to get your bearings
I made an appointment lately ,took me forever to find her apartment,then she was ticked off because of the drama with me .
When I finally got to her door she opened and I went in ,but she was complaining how she found her apartment first time and why I couldn't so I made my excuses and just left
A waste of everyone s time (I think I'm blacklisted now)but if you are not familiar with the apartment area it can be a nightmare.
I made an appointment once and the girl send me a video of someone walking to her door I thought it was a great idea ,fool proof
Even for a fucking idiot like me🤣
