People always focus on the negatives...

A bit of Good News be oh so good .
The countries over there have come to some sort of agreement to protect it. Well most of them, there is a few who didnt/wouldnt sign, but its a start.

As for all our own environmental efforts here, nothing short of a scam, every company just wants the grant money that comes along with their "green" efforts.
If you seen some of the things i see in my line of work, well, you just wouldnt bother with all the crap they tell you. I dont, and its my job.

    Sadly true .

: some time ago ( three yrs ago ? ) I subscribed to CNN’s ‘Something Good’ newsletter .

I no longer watch or tune in to CNN - the news , but that newsletter sometimes brings a smile 😊 .

: I like nice things in my life . A smile , a good deed , kindness and care .

Those don’t sell ‘newspapers’ , don’t get Clicks - driving negativity even further into society .

/ hard to ignore the monumental f’ up that’s happening though .
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

Was chatting with ‘one of my guys’ yesterday evening , we got to talking this subject .

He’s intelligent , smart , generally well informed , has heart :: now drives an EV .

I asked why he chose to go that way : the governmental financial incentives And it’s a ‘nice car’ .

Have to admit , most of them Are good looking vehicles : but does that negate all the damage caused ?.

Fish stinks from the head : all this is policy-driven here and abroad .

If I , if You can see the fallacy and the lie , sure enough the governments Know it .

It is the Lie that bothers me so very much .

And that people either don’t Know or don’t Care .
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

That’s great news - would you have any more detail on it ?

    I’d like to know xx

Have been watching some interviews with an explorer , adventurer ( can’t remember his name :

Risale ?? I’d have to look it up ) .

    He’s spent much time solo and with guide / friend / local people in Amazonia ;

: there are still uncontacted tribes out there . The fantastic magic incredible-ness of it !!

Most of these remaining tribes live akin to stone-age existence : and they Refuse any interlopers .

Wander onto their territory and likely be ‘porcupine’d ( multiple arrows sticking out of dead body ) ,

or even be torn limb from limb . They Refuse any outsiders .

We know practically nothing about them — ‘d be nice to leave it that way :: they be guardians

    of the Amazon .

I’d be curious about new policies / treaties you mention xx

    Please tell ? X

Tricky that, any example i can think of off the top of my head. Small town. Id rather not give too much details.

I work im the nitty gritty of it. I see the stupid things that get done, im part of the problem, but i have bills to pay.

People coming into us think its a great place, if only they knew 90% of it means nothing.

I guess many places are the same. Once you see what goes on in the background you just cant unsee it.

With the mistreatment of indigenous people around the world and throughout history in mind
I hope their governments have the good sense to protect them and leave them alone!!

But realistically someone will likely come up with the idea of putting them on a reality show!!

Probably bring one of them too London/New York and see what they think of this world we've all created
I think I'd prefer to live in the jungle off the land
