Only mods and admins can see other's refraction. Other users can only see their own. So yes, when you get an infraction nobody knows about it apart from you and mods / staff. The idea of infraction is to warn you that you behaved in a way that is against the rules. If you keep doing it you may be banned. But contrary to popular belief, we are not trying to ban people, we don't unless we have no other choice as they won't listen to infraction warnings or it is a serious rules breach.
