I remember visiting a counsellor many years ago. I had been through 2 previously, in quick succession; not good matches. I remember after a few weeks of talking shite and dancing around my issues, I began to open up. I told him about my insecurities, my bad deeds and my deepest and darkest thoughts. He looked at me and replied "Well, none of that makes you Hitler". I laughed. He gave me a get out of jail card for all the things I beat myself up over.

Life is tough enough. Stop using the things others have said to you or about you to beat yourself up.

As for the second line: I don't know you and I don't know anything about you, other than what's posted here. I have no reason to want to "get you". I have had disagreements with other posters here and the nest day liked their posts. I move on quickly and try not to foster lingering resentments. No matter how strongly I disagreed with someone here or no matter how much they abused me or threatened me (real or perceived) I would do everything imaginable to avoid serious escalations. This is just a forum.
