I don't want to crap on the lovely Jenny's purchase, but Dyson fans for cooling are really no better than a €20 bog standard pedestal/desk fan. The only measure which colling can be assessed when it doesnt have refrigeration/air-conditioning is airflow. How much air it pushes around, which has a "forced convection" effect. And all the Dyson blade-less fans do this worse than the traditional fan. It is also worth noting that the higher the temperature gets, the lower the effect forced convection will have. I should say that I deeply, deeply dislike Dyson as a company, as I think they pretend to invent things that have been around for years, and then charge you 10 times the price for the privilege.

They do have the benefits of filtering the air, albeit worse than a dedicated air filtration system.

Oh I promise you, it's 10,000 better, I have a standard fan I bring on tour coz hotel rooms can get so warm and I can genuinely name only about 5 hotels where the air con actually works, so I had this bog standard fan just blowing hot air around the room. My new BFF the Dyson fills the room with ice cold air, it's bliss.

Again, I can't stress enough, I am not into fancy brands. I have friends who are very competitive over their million billion euro newest model Dyson hoover.

I ask, and how exactly does that differ from my trusty much beloved "Henry" hoover??

Lads, how did we survive the 80s at all, when it was just a sweeping brush and pan and a house full of turf dust, coal dust, dog hair and nits. (Don't lie, every single one of us had them at some point!)

Anyway, my whole point was not to tell ye to go buy a Dyson fan, it was to come see me, I'll leave you dripping in sweat, unable to feel your legs, then I'll turn on d fancy fan to bring ya back to life!

Well this humidity lately has been CRUEL!!!



I went and treated myself to one of those fancy Dyson fans, omg it's a gift from the Gods, it blows ICE cold air and I'm talking freezing cold!!

I'm adding it to my favourites - 30 mins with me and my fancy Dyson fan lads The kid of blow job ya need in this heat!!

I agree, I went to visit Natalie in Derry and we were both nearly killed with the heat (not my proformanc lol). We were both soaked because there wasn't an air in the room and she had both windows open in the room.

This must very a very difficult job physically in the heat.. My feets has been burnt off me the past few nights in bed. If I was to cool my feet on your fan would that be considered a foot fetish and cost extra?

Natalie said something very wise today, the houses in the UK and Ireland are designed to keep heat in, there is no airflow

It acc works a dream, much better than any fan you’d find in a hotel room. I suppose, two bodies having sex will always be hotter than the room around them? I got a good two weeks out of mine and watched the cat piss on it for the rest of the year. (And, I would put it to you that it’s not forced convection or thermodynamics, it’s entrainment and fluid mechanics?)
