Another update on the disallowed goal. The var officials thought the goal had been awarded and thats why they said check complete. So they had put the lines up but how in the name of god did they not know that the onfield decision was offside? What kind of contact was there with the ref.

That sounds like something you would hear at a Junior B Gaa game.
Another thing I can’t figure out is why did the linesman put up his flag , I had understood they didn’t need to as they had the failsafe of the var check, if In doubt.

On Saturday I thought it had to be quite a while since both Manchester and Liverpool clubs lost on the same day.
I see in today’s paper it was 1954 .
I didn’t think it would be that far back .
